How to Attract More Clients Through Your Online Directory Listing

If you’re a counselor, massage therapist, acupuncturist, chiropractor, naturopath or other wellness professonal, you’ll likely need to create content for multiple healthcare directories and local business listings. Psychology Today, Healthprofs.com, Acufinder….the list goes on and on. If you’re in Portland, you’ll definitely have a profile on portlandtherapycenter.com or wellpdx.com ;). You’ll also create profiles with Google and Yelp, along with more specific community-based resources like your college alumni website or local online newspaper.

Writing content for a directory or business listing is different than writing for your own website. You only get a limited amount of space, which means you have to make an impact and create a good impression quickly. Based on industry best practices, along with the data I’ve collected operating healthcare directory websites, I have a few simple tips to get the most out of your many listings.

    I appreciate the advice on how to attract more clients through directories. My wife and I are currently looking for a new healthcare provider and there is only so much information on the internet about them. If only all of the companies could fill our directories so that we could find them. Thanks for the information!
